"Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen." – Winston Churchill

Passion and perseverance has allowed Hillary Kies to truly excel in every aspect of her career. It is true that her keen eye for detail and sharp sense of wit make her an extraordinary asset to our team, but her positive spirit and sense of humor make her a joy to be around.

Hillary began her professional career in Brussels, Belgium as an intern to European Parliament Member, Jόzsef Szájer. She experienced European Union (EU) Delegations and meetings of the Legal Affairs Committee as well as the Constitutional Affairs Committee.

A graduate of Furman University, she received a Bachelor of Arts in History; Magna Cum Laude. As a National Merit Scholar and member of Phi Beta Kappa, Hillary kept her mind sharp and schedule busy while she continued on to Wake Forest University School of Law where she ranked top 10 in her class. At Wake Forest, Hillary participated in the Appellate Advocacy Clinic, winning a case in the Fourth Circuit that would eventually be heard by the Supreme Court.
