Vaccine Injuries

Our vaccine injury law firm helps clients who have been injured by vaccines, at no cost to the client.

Vaccine Injury Compensation

Vaccine injury claims are unique, and our vaccine attorneys can guide you through the process. Turning Point Litigation has six attorneys who are certified to practice in the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, also called the “Vaccine Court,” including the most experienced vaccine lawyer in North Carolina, Nancy Meyers. Nancy has worked over a decade helping hundreds of vaccine-injured clients secure millions of dollars in recoveries, including an $8 million dollar recovery for a Guillain-Barre syndrome client.

In 1986, Congress established the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program, or the “Vaccine Program.” The Vaccine Program works differently than a personal injury case. It is a no-fault process, which means that a person injured by a vaccine is not required to prove negligence, but only has to prove that his or her injury was caused by a vaccine. An injured client can receive up to $250,000 in pain and suffering compensation, plus past and future medical expenses, and past and future lost wages. The Vaccine Program pays for successful recoveries as well as attorneys’ fees. Our services are free to our clients because the Vaccine Program pays for the costs of our representation. Finally, the Vaccine Court is a nationwide court, so Turning Point Litigation’s vaccine lawyers serve clients in all 50 states who have suffered from a vaccine injury.

The Vaccine Program typically compensates those injured by the following types of vaccines:

  • Diphtheria (e.g., DTP, DTaP, Tdap, DT, Td, TT)
  • Haemophilus influenza type b polysaccharide conjugate vaccines (e.g., Hib)
  • Hepatitis A (e.g., HAV)
  • Hepatitis B (e.g., HBV)
  • Human papillomavirus (e.g., HPV)
  • Seasonal influenza (e.g., Flu)
  • Measles (e.g., MMR)
  • Mumps (e.g., MMR, MR, M)
  • Meningococcal (e.g., MCV4, MPSV4, MenB-FHbp, MenB-4C)
  • Pertussis (e.g., DTP, DTaP, Tdap)
  • Pneumococcal conjugate (e.g., PCV)
  • Polio (e.g., OPV or IPV)
  • Rotavirus (e.g., RV)
  • Rubella (e.g., MMR, MR, R)
  • Tetanus (e.g., Td)
  • Varicella (e.g., VAR)

The most common vaccine injuries relate to autoimmune disorders, blood disorders, bowel problems, brain conditions, nerve damage and pain, and shoulder injuries. Specific examples of vaccine injuries include:

  • Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS)
  • Transverse Myelitis
  • Brachial Neuritis
  • Neuromyelitis Optica
  • Shoulder Injury Resulting from Vaccine Administration (SIRVA)
  • Encephalitis
