Attorneys Selected for New Bar Association Positions

October 3, 2019

Steve Russell and Hillary Kies have recently been selected to new positions in the state and local bar associations.

Steve Russell was selected for a term on the Appellate Rules Committee. This committee of the North Carolina Bar Association includes lawyers and judges from across the state, including justices of the North Carolina Supreme Court and judges of the North Carolina Court of Appeals. It examines the Rules of Appellate Procedure and makes recommendations regarding potential revisions to the rules. Steve regularly represents private and public sector clients in state and federal appellate courts, and is a member of the Fourth Circuit Judicial Conference.

Hillary Kies was recently elected to serve as Vice President of the Greensboro Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section. Hillary also serves as Chair of the GBA’s committee organizing the annual Legal Aid fundraiser, which in prior years has raised tens of thousands of dollars to support Legal Aid and the members of our community that are served by Legal Aid attorneys.
